Yes, a Masterpiece! I have been applying the techniques of taking notes using Mind Maps for over just four years and was really amazed at what one could achieve if one sets his goals. The reader may wish to see my other collection of real-time mind maps. [Please CLICK HERE]

There is always something new or 'extra' whenever Tony lectures in Singapore. Over the past years, I mind mapped almost every course he has conducted. This page will house some specially selected mind maps that I have done in real time with Tony Buzan, the Inventor of Mind Maps and President of ThinkBuzan.

Above is a mind map done during his 2-day seminar (12 & 13 Sep 2000) on "How to Get More Good Thinking in Your Organisation". as well as a photograph taken when Tony autographed my Mind Map with the remarks "A Masterpiece!"

"A 1000% Mind Map" - at Ngee Ann Polytechnic on 10 Nov 2001

One of the best ways of taking notes in real-time is by doing a mind map. As any Mind Map enthusiast knows, the note produced is just on one sheet of paper as shown above. Let me give you some idea about how the above is done.
Firstly, prepare the central image. For me, I drew Tony's portrait as best as I could and inserted the words S-T-U-D-E-N-T to remind me of the fact that he was lecturing to more than 1100 students, teachers, lecturers and principals at Ngee Ann Polytechnic on 10 Nov 2001.
Secondly, I mentally prepared myself with all my training as a "Mind Warrior" as Tony calls us, to capture his lecture on just one sheet of paper. It is this type of mindset that I try to cultivate, nurture and encourage my course participants to adopt. Once the participants are able to see this vision at the end of my two-day training course, the value of this mindset is worth many times the cost of the training programme itself.
Thirdly, after capturing all the key words and pictures in real-time, I finally did some touch up of the "1000% Mind Map", adding colour and groupings to further enhance the mind map in order for me to remember it for as long as I desire.

I hope you enjoy interpreting the mind map. It is quite simple. Let me know if you have problems doing it.
