| KEYNOTE SPEECH BY SCOTT McNEALY, CHAIRMAN & CEO of SUN MICROSYSTEMS USA IN SUNTEC CITY, SINGAPORE ON WED., 14 SEP 2005 |
I was definitely glad to attend this keynote speech by Scott McNealy, Chairman & CEO of SUN Microsystems in Suntec City Singapore on 14 September 2005.
His presentation further reinforced the growing strengths of the Internet, JAVA as the driver and the opening of the INFO AGE where everyone is allowed to PARTICIPATE - e.g. BUSINESS, SKYPE, INTERNET, GOOGLE.....etc.
At the end of his keynote, panel members discussed many issues pertaining to Participation, Skills required and of course the skills necessary for Singapore to be relevant in the INFO-COMMUNICATION AGE.
From HINDSIGHT, lots of stuff that were discussed by the panel came to be realised today. Looks like it is good for one to attend KEYNOTE speeches such as this one, in order to have a bit of the FORESIGHT into the future.
